What is HOLY DESIRE?

HOLY DESIRE is the sacred fire of passion and thirst for creation that lives within all of us.

It is our aliveness, our creativity, our erotic life force, our essential nature, our longing to create union (within and without), and birth beautiful and miraculous things into the world.

HOLY DESIRE, in its purest form, is our connection to God/Source/The Sacred. The pulse of energy that connects us all and reminds us of who we are and why we’re here.

HOLY DESIRE is a pulse of energy (and intimacy) we can tend that connects us to our truth, power, and creativity… and just like moths drawn to a candle, we run the risk of being consumed by the intensity of its flame.

It invites us to hold the paradox of longing for intimacy, union, surrender, eroticism, co-creation, pleasure, liberation, meaningful fulfillment…while also holding the desire for safety, structure, grounding, consistency, integrity, certainty, and trust.

Sometimes we become victims of the flame, indeed feeling overpowered by the intensity of the heat and losing connection to our grounded center and discernment...playing out old wounds, patterns, and distortions in the pursuit of surface level pleasure or fantasy.

And some choose to abstain from the flame altogether, because it can seem easier to just avoid desire altogether than risk being burned by it (and the chaos, shame, and/or self-doubt that often ensues).

But, what if there’s another way? What if rather than feeling victimized or over-powered by it, or avoiding the flame all together, what if we learned how to DANCE with it?

What if we learned how to be in right relationship with the holy fire of desire, both within and without, so we could trust ourselves to hold and tend that flame?

HOLY DESIRE is a 12-week alchemical container for men and women coming together to release distortions of distrust and disconnection that can arise through intimacy, sexuality, and attraction…

…so we can experience the love, safety, and belonging we truly desire in relationship and community, while staying rooted in the truth, power, and sacred purpose that guides our destiny.

In order to create a safe, powerful, and courageous space to explore authenticity, vulnerability, and desire, it is essential that as a participant, you are committed to becoming curious of your own personal triggers, so that you can enter into highly charged emotional situations from a place of curiosity and connection (as opposed to defaulting into reactionary defense patterns). Curriculum Context

HOLY DESIRE is about learning how to dance with the flame of what we truly desire in life—and how to move towards it in a way that honors the truth, power, and sovereignty, while also acknowledging our connection to the All, and being in service to the hearth and heart of community.

We’ll establish the archetypes of Divine Lover & Sacred Kin as a reference point for relating with men and women in our life as brothers and sisters on the path of remembering. We’ll talk about the Sex-Heart-Crown connection as an approach to sexuality that is deeply grounded in the heart-centered integrity. From here, erotic and romantic relationships can be in held in the context of prioritizing healthy relational ecosystems that support vital, sustainable, growth-centered communities and culture.

Tentative Curriculum

Please note: This February 2024 round will include additional modules TBD as the group program begins.
I always based teaching curriculum off what is most needed/alive in the current cohort.

M1: Holy Desire as a Compass for our Destiny
Learn on a felt-sense level how to identify what an authentic desire is, versus an avoidant desire that pulls us away from our greater purpose. We’ll work with the 3Ds of Material Reality (Desire, Distortion, & Devotion) as a reference point to identify our core intention for the course (and beyond) that will allow for opening to more of what we truly want in life, intimacy, purpose, and pleasure.

M2: Power, Embodiment, & Discerning Truth in the Body
We’ll identify what it means to source our power, and truth from within, rather than relying on external dogma or trying to control our environment in order to feel safe. We’ll do an inventory of where past wounds, traumas, or distorted dogma from societal conditioning impact our ability to discern truth within our own bodies and be in powerful relationship with the present moment.

M3: Cultivating Our Energetic Container (Masculine & Feminine Polarity Integration)
We’ll identify what it means to cultivate energetic sovereignty through how we relate with our own Masculine & Feminine energy, so we’re less victimized by the world around, and shift into a place of creatorhood that allows us to attract relationships and experiences that are more aligned towards wholeness, integrity, and overflow.

M4: Intimacy (& Power) Dynamics Between Men & Women
We’ll explore common collective Distorted Archetypal Dynamics (aka D.A.D.s) of relating that to exist between men and women through cultural conditioning that negatively impact our ability to be in open-hearted cohesive connection together. During this module week, we’ll have two separate group calls—one for women and one for men, to have a separate space to speak about the things we do not say, and the things that get in the way, with the intention to weave these truths back into the collective group in ways that foster connection.

M5: Pleasure, Sexuality, & Pacing Our Opening
Let’s go into the heart of expanding our baseline for pleasure, intimacy, vulnerability, and open-hearted connection in our sexual and erotic experiences. We’ll explore the places for men and women where societal conditioning, wounding, or bad experiences in past relationships block or challenge our ability to open to pleasure. We’ll explore a new definition of “orgasm”, and bring more permission for what’s “allowed” in our sexual experiences. And, for those who already feel adept in their sexuality, we’ll explore ways of taking your bliss, intimacy, and spiritual connection in sexuality to the next level.

M6: Pententration, Attunement, & Receptivity
Beyond penetration being something we just associate with sex, we’ll zoom into the energetic realm of how we penetrate people and the world with our ideas, desires, perspectives, actions, and yes our physical anatomy. We’ll explore attuned vs. disconnected penetration. And engaged receiving vs. dissociated or disconnected receiving. And most importantly, the boundary of space, energy, and physical

M7: Navigating Controversy & Discomfort in Connection
This module is about expanding our capacity to remain present in our hearts and bodies when things get crunchy. When we want to run, when our old wounds are triggered. The places where we perform, react, or shut down because old narratives tell us it’s not safe to be fully ME here. In this module we’ll go into deeper exploration of what it means to be allies for each other’s awakening and remembering. Both as leaders in our work, and as humans in our personal lives and intimate relationships.

Special Guest Class: Race & Sexuality - “The Tender Touch”
Taught by Aaron Johnson, Founder of Holistic Resistance & Grief to Action

“Tender touch is something black people were never supposed to experience post slavery, from each other or from white hands. Tender Touch has been taken from black bodied people, with the invention of The Black Brute archetype to justify lynching. In this workshop with interactive Q&A, we’ll explore how to bring commitment, awareness, and tools to be able to identify the Chronically UnderTouched, how this shaped our culture, and how we can be interruptive forces”.

At the beginning of the week, a Teaching Module will be uploaded via video to the Mighty Networks online group to focus our personal and group inquiry. Each Teaching Module will be accompanied by a practice or written assignment to help guide and inform your own unique journey with the work.

The Mighty Networks (MN) Group
Mighty Networks is an awesome online social platform similar to Facebook group, but better.
This is where the group field and hive mind comes to life. The more you lean into share and interact with the other HOLY DESIRE members in our online platform, the more you’ll see next week’s Teaching Module reflected in what you’re actively working with. My facilitation teaching style is always a dance between Masculine Structure and Feminine attunement to what’s alive in the group field.

Group Q&A Coaching Calls
Our LIVE Group Coaching + Q&A Sessions are a way to receiving hot seat coaching from me on what’s most present for you in your own relationship with the work. I also encourage selfish listening on these calls, as what one person brings forward is often always applicable to you on some level.

Two of our Group Q&A Sessions will be separated into women-only and men-only so we can deepen into gender-specific issues and bring the richness of those gender-focused conversations back into the richness of the co-ed group field. See the time/date for these calls in the program schedule above.

Community Connection Labs
These LIVE calls will be focused on cultivating deeper connection with other HD participants. We’ll play different authentic connection games and utilized the breakout group function on Zoom so you can share your process and integrate what you’ve been leaning/experience with the HD community.

The WHY for this Container
A Note from Arielle, HD Founder ~

Through my decade of doing intentional personal and professional work in the realms of intimacy, sexuality, power, leadership, and community building, it has been my experience that the way we’ve been taught to relate with our sexuality (and how we sexualize others) is not conducive to healthy models of relating, leadership, & community. 

Simply put, “Hookup culture is the antithesis of community”.

We can’t have healthy communities that have stable relational ecosystems if we don’t resolve the disconnection that has occurred between our sexuality and our hearts.

And, we can’t have healthy interplays of power in intimacy, community, or culture if men and women don’t resolve the underlying wounding and distrust that has occurred (and sustained) regarding sexuality and power (and money). These are the elephants in the room that will continue to sabotage forward momentum in our personal relationships and the greater social paradigm of we don’t address them with care, devotion, and conscious intentionality.

Whether we want to acknowledge it or not, even in highly spiritual individuals who are devoted to their awakening and healing path––wounding around sexuality and attraction, romance, and sexuality with the opposite sex is still a place of deep struggle and distortion. 

There is a way that (regardless of gender) we’ve been trained to objectify the opposite sex. To feel desire or attraction for a person in a way that in a way removes their humanness from the equation–meaning that in acknowledging our sexual desire or attraction or a person, we can forget that they are a human on the path with their own struggles, longings, and uncertainties.

When we feel sexual desire or attraction for a person, it can cause our unresolved wounds from past experiences in sex and intimacy to arise, that don’t actually have to do with this present time person.

Old wounds and traumas stored in the body from past experiences can cause us to perceive reality through a lens where “I’m not safe” or “I need to protect myself”— which limits our capacity to show up fully available, empowered, and receptive to the the truth of the present moment. 

This is about learning how to access power, safety and freedom from within ourselves—rather than needing to control or manipulate our environment to feel, so we can meet ourselves and others from a place of power, authenticity, and love.

This is about re-establishing the heart-sex connection by learning to hold the paradox that we can BOTH find someone sexually attractive/desirable, AND holding them in compassionate love as a brother or sister on the path of community and remembering.

This is about remembering that our primary relationship is with God, Source, Universal Energy—and that only when we’re rooted in that primary devotional connection can we truly give and receive in relationship with another from a full and clear cup.

HOLY DESIRE is a 7 week container for men and women committed to the deeper embodiment and integration work required to truly dance with the flame of power, sexuality, and desire with the opposite sex in a way that honors our humanity and priorities the health of community.
